What this Class is All About...
All students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to use planning and reflective strategies to inform their creative process and create artwork to address a social, cultural or historical point-of-view. In developing their artistic voice, students will critique their artwork by referencing specific resources used in communicating their ideas. In addition, students will be able to apply the design cycle to create a solution for a targeted audience and justify, orally and/or in writing, their procedure and results.
One Has to Know the BasicsStudents will demonstrate understanding and familiarity of the basics used in various Adobe programs while intertwining the art elements and principles of design within their work, using them to convey meaning.

Moving into Finding the Answers vs. Knowing the AnswersThe world is constantly changing, placing information easily at your fingertips. How do we solve problems? How do we find answers to what we want to know, say, or do? It has transitioned away from knowing the answers to knowing how to find them. The class will focus strongly on finding new techniques and strategies that others have shared.

Developing the PortfolioStudents will combine it all together into one portfolio, that communicates meaning, thought, curiosity and intention.
